FAQs

How long are walks?

Walks are one hour long but SF Weekend Walker reserves the right to shorten walks to 45 minutes to accommodate for unforeseen delays due to weather or other circumstances. SF Weekend Walker uses GPS walk tracking so you will always be notified of the length of your dog's walk.

How many dogs do you walk at once?

SF Weekend Walker adheres to the City of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Recreation Area's laws and restrictions for commercial dog walkers. Most walks will be 3 dogs or less  but groups may include up to 8 dogs on occasion. SF Weekend Walker will never walk more than 8 dogs per walker.

What time will my dog be walked?

Your dog will be assigned to an agreed upon walk time window. Your dog's walk time window will show on the invoice and confirmation. You can always view your dog's approximate scheduled walk time through our online scheduling system and phone app.

What is the enrollment process?

SF Weekend Walker will first complete a telephone interview so SF Weekend Walker can tell you about their experience, credentials and services; you can ask any questions that you have and SF Weekend Walker will ask a series of questions to begin to understand you and your dog's needs. After the telephone interview an in-person meeting will be scheduled so a dog temperament evaluation can be completed and a service agreement can be reviewed and signed.
